Do you know that every number, every name, everything that God placed in the Bible is there for a significant reason. There is always a deeper, beautiful revelation that God wants to enlighten the eyes of our hearts with.
Proverbs 25:2 says that “God conceals the revelation of His Word in the hiding place of His glory. But the honor of kings is revealed by how they thoroughly search out the deeper meaning of all that God says.”
Our Word study today is on the number 8 and we wanted to share some amazing revelation and insights with you on this significant number.
We are currently in the middle of an eight day’s long Passover period. From scripture, we know that the blood of The Lamb was applied to the door posts of the Israelites after partaking in a Passover meal, specifically instructed by God, so as to protect them from the angel of death passing over their households on the evening of the start of the Passover, killing all the first born sons. All the Israelites that applied the blood of the Lamb, was safe and their children spared. Pharaoh released all the Israelites out of captivity from Egypt after his first born son died.
We know that this blood of the Lamb was a type-shadow of our ultimate Lamb of God – Jesus, Who was to come and die not just for God’s Jewish people, but for us all!!
Right now, we just celebrated Easter in remembrance of what Jesus did for us. He was our Passover meal and His blood covers us forever. When God looks down, He sees us, He sees you, much loved Daughter, as well pleasing, fully loved and accepted, because we are covered with the precious blood of our Jesus.
So today, we are on the FIFTH day of the Passover period. And it just so happens to be that the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is HEI. It means GRACE, the divine breath of God and light. We know that The light of the world is Jesus (John 8:12). How beautiful and significant, as we just celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus!
Let’s look at the number eight and some amazing facts from the Bible. Eight represents a new beginning, a new life, resurrection. Thank You Jesus, for giving us new life – ETERNAL LIFE through Your death and resurrection!
The numbers 888 represents Jesus, more specifically CHRIST THE REDEEMER! Hallelujah!
Abraham had 8 sons – and God said to him that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars and the sand and through Abraham’s offspring ALL the nations on earth will be blessed! That’s us!! We are a blessed and prosperous people!
Our New Testament was written by only eight men – Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, Jude and Paul. All great disciples of Jesus, who started the Church and took the gospel of Jesus to the ends of the world. We are commissioned to do the same! Jesus also showed Himself eight times to His disciples after His resurrection.
Some other interesting facts on the number eight is that God saved eight people in the Arc (Noah, his wife and their 3 sons and their wives), in order to have a new beginning for mankind after the flood. If we delve deeper into scripture, we also know that the wooden Arc; how and from what it was constructed, is also a type-shadow and points to Jesus on the wooden cross, saving us and giving us new life in Him.
The number 800 is the value of the Greek words “Lord” and “Faith”. It also is the value of the final letter of the Greek alphabet, Omega. In Hebrew 800 also represents Omega, Lord, Faith and “Qeshet” – a rainbow. This rainbow was God’s promise to Noah and a sign of His eternal forgiveness and His covenantal mercy! Revelation 22:13 -” I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” Hebrews 12:2 – “looking unto JESUS, the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him (that’s us – His eternal, righteous bride) endured the Cross”.
The essence of faith is that Jesus will see us through to the very end!
Daughter, lift up your eyes from your current situation and just behold Jesus, the good Shepherd, Who is Lord above it all!!
We’re ending off with this today. The eighth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is CHET. A picture of a fence or inner room and it means to protect. In Proverbs 31 (who doesn’t love the Proverbs 31 woman, right?), it speaks about this woman, who wraps herself in Strength (verse 17). Proverbs 31 also points to the beautiful, pure and righteous Bride of Christ. THAT’S YOU, beloved daughter of the Most High and Jesus’s Bride.
Gird yourself, encircle yourself with Jesus. He is your security and protection and His presence wraps all around you! He is your strength, now and forever! You are anointed to do the Work of Jesus and His resurrection power lives inside you!
When you see the number eight again – be reminded of this! Be reminded of Jesus!! Your strength and faith and your new beginning is in Him.
We love you, garls!
With all our Love,
