Philippians 3:13–14

I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and Heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.

There will always be something in the way that will try and hinder you from moving forward to the greater things God has for your life. It is at these times that you cannot be moved by circumstance or people, but only by what God has already prepared for your life.

Jesus had such occasions in His own life and ministry, yet He kept progressing toward what He was to do. A runner does not simply become a runner! It takes hours of training, and even losing some races, to finally become the champion that will win through the pain.

I have had to do that at times, to press on through past pain. That possibly is the most victorious that I have been in my entire Christian walk. When I felt as though there was no future or a purpose for me, but I refused to listen to the devil and I grabbed hold of God anyway, and pressed on toward the goal, the prize that God has for me!

I honestly believe that you grow the most when you are in the darkest and most difficult moments in your life. When there is no one else but God to bring you through. It’s not that He was not there before, it’s just that you never trusted Him completely before! He’s ALWAYS been there you just never realized it!

This is when patience is very necessary. Things may not change immediately, but slowly and surely it will begin to turn around.

When your love for JESUS, and your desire to be a blessing in the Kingdom of God overwhelms you, you WILL press on past every bit of opposition to where you are supposed to be. You will NEVER give in or give up!

Remember Who is cheering you on, Who is with you, and will NEVER leave you!

The story of Moses is a blessing to me. His determination to free the Jews was his goal. He made many errors; he faced years of opposition; he was ridiculed, mocked and abused – but he looked ahead, held firm to the promise of God and accomplished His plan for his life!

Joseph is another great example of running the race and winning the prize. It took over 20 years for the plan of God to be realized in his life, but he pressed on! Talk about patience… and the years in a dark prison cell.

Pressing on may require a stand in the fight, but in that fight your stand is a REST! Jesus has ALREADY provided everything you will ever need! All you have to do is look to Him and remain obedient to the call. Press on and don’t let anything hinder or stop you.

There is no greater satisfaction than accomplishing the will of God in your life. It’s called the BLESSED LIFE!

Forget the past and press on to the greater things God has already prepared for you!

Only by Grace

You are Loved
